Superstorm Sandy dumped a foot and a half of snow on Birch Knob bringing the fall colors to a quick finish. No access, because of felled trees and limbs on the service road, kept our volunteer crew away from any construction work last weekend. But, today I swept what was left of the snow off the deck and we got to work.
Access to the sleeping loft is by this ladder attached to the center post.

And now most of the metal roof is attached. Lacking only a small section on the back side.
So disappointed in the Whitesburg earthquake. The epicenter a mere 5 miles away and didn't feel anything. The 70 plus temperatures brought out hikers, horse riders and hunters, as it was the first day of deer-hunting season.
