Two truck-loads of board and batten siding and upper-level floor joists for the new shelter. A light rain eased up after midday as the siding went up and then the joists were put in place for the sleeping loft. Steps to the lower level porch deck and a single step on into the shelter were installed.
Horse -back riders on an outing came by and provided lunch. Apparently the rain had discouraged a few riders from coming along and extra food was available.
A group of out-of-state thru hikers happened by and stopped to rest and ask about trail conditions ahead.
