The call for help to build out the Pine Mountain Trail was answered on October 6th, as the Sierra Clubs' experienced crew leader, Roger Straw, arrived at the Russell Fork trailhead in Elkhorn City, with an enthusiastic, ready-to-work crew for a week of trail-building and shelter construction.
Monday and Tuesday moved forward the shelter project with the construction of a fire-ring and seating, site prep for the privy, underbrush removal, and most importantly, improvements to the shelter structure.
